Smithtown, NY (June 27, 2024) – One person was killed and another was injured after a head-on collision in the Smithtown area on Thursday, June 27. The incident was reported at the intersection of Middle Country Road and Highway Place late that night, around 9:30 p.m. Local reports revealed that Michael Bittleman of East Northport was driving a Nissan on Middle Country Road when he was involved in a deadly crash.
