West Islip, NY (July 15, 2024) – Three people were injured following a head-on collision in the West Islip area of Long Island on Sunday, July 14. The accident was reported on the Sunrise Highway Service Road near Malts Avenue late that night, around 9:35 p.m. Local reports indicated that 40-year-old Jimmy Graham of Central Islip was driving a 2014 Audi A8 westbound in the eastbound lanes when he collided head-on with an eastbound 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee.

Graham was ejected from the Audi in the impact. Emergency crews were rushed to the scene, and the victim was transported to Good Samaritan University Hospital in West Islip for the treatment of critical injuries. A passenger in the Jeep, 32-year-old Chelsea Zamzam of East Northport, was also transported to the hospital for treatment. The driver of the Jeep, 43-year-old Bryan Zamzam also of East Northport, was taken by ambulance to South Shore University Hospital in Bay Shore in serious condition. Both vehicles were impounded. No further information on the accident is currently available. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the crash is being managed by local law enforcement officials.
