Rochester, NY (August 3, 2024) – A woman was tragically killed in a hit-and-run crash on West Avenue on Friday, August 2. Police responded to the scene shortly before midnight and found the victim, 46-year-old Lashawnda Leggett, who later succumbed to her injuries at Strong Memorial Hospital.

Witnesses recounted that Leggett had been outside P.I.’s Lounge when the incident occurred. Surveillance footage reportedly shows an SUV backing up and striking Leggett before fleeing the scene. Local law enforcement authorities are currently handling the investigation surrounding the incident.
