Rochester, NY (August 9, 2024) – A motorcyclist was injured in a head-on collision late Thursday night at the intersection of Clifford Avenue and Culver Road. The Rochester Police Department reports that the accident occurred when a 66-year-old man driving a northbound vehicle attempted to make a left turn onto Clifford Avenue, resulting in a collision with a southbound motorcycle operated by a 38-year-old man.

The impact of the crash caused the motorcyclist to be thrown from his bike. He was promptly transported to Strong Memorial Hospital for treatment. The driver of the vehicle was unharmed but was arrested at the scene and charged with driving while intoxicated. Authorities are continuing their investigation into the circumstances of the accident.
