Our Mission and Our Legacy

Henry Isaacson founded this firm in 1955. It quickly became one of the leading firms in maritime negligence, representing seamen injured at sea. The firm branched out to medical malpractice, products liability, automobile accidents, and other forms of personal injury in the 1970’s and established itself as one of the oldest and most respected personal injury law firms in New York City.

The firm, as it’s known today, has been a trusted name since 1978. While we were once one of the larger injury law firms in New York, we made a conscious decision to stay small and focused, so every client gets personal, hands-on attention. We are proudly family-owned, and a team of three generations of lawyers.

Jeremy Schiowitz has spent over 16 years representing injury victims across New York City and Long Island. He handles complex litigation, court appearances, and legal strategy for the firm. Known for his success in high-profile cases, Jeremy argued a landmark decision against the NYC Transit Authority that changed the law for train platform accidents. His early background in defense law gives him unique insight into how to beat insurance company tactics.

Martin Schiowitz

Founding Partner

With over 50 years of experience, Martin Schiowitz has recovered millions for victims of negligence and medical malpractice throughout New York. He co-founded the firm in 1978 and has tried cases involving wrongful death, civil rights, and serious personal injuries.
